there is a law that says it is illegal to hunt them because they are so rare (only 25,000 in the United Kingdom alone, thus making them a non-viable target, and despite this law being upheld for the last 30 years, how come hunteers are still shooting them? As far as i'm aware, the law hasn't been lifted yet!Despite their being a law against hunting Red Deer in Britain, why do hunters keep hunting them?
There is a law that covers hunters who have to go into vast areas on private land to cull some of the deer on occassions as otherwise they would be over run with them. I think you maybe talking about poachers who go out and illegally hunt at night hoping to be able to have them for theirselves or to sell to others for profit.Despite their being a law against hunting Red Deer in Britain, why do hunters keep hunting them?
No body is hunting them, but there are organized culls taking place when there numbers exceed a certain number and they stray onto farmland and do a lot of damage
Let's be honest here, how many laws are broken every day in the world!
Maybe the hunters are color blind and think they are green.
if its private property its fair game
Culling, overstocking, weeding out the weak and frail, too many older animals, damaging the crops, etc etc etc.The Red Deer were extinct in Scotland, reintroduced, and now ';controlled'; for sport, and tourist money.
last answer v funny - was it meant to be? Are they still being culled by government sanctions? Ok but I sure think that venison tastes soooo good!!
