I've never heard it.Has anyone made thier own salt blocks for deer acctractant? If so whats your recipie?
Purchase a bag of rock salt.(similar to ice melt salt) Select a rotten stump that is still standing. Pour salt into this stump. Rainwater will melt the salt which runs onto the ground. Deer will tear up the stump to lick the salt.Has anyone made thier own salt blocks for deer acctractant? If so whats your recipie?

Take a hoe where yo want o attract the deer to. Break an small area (about the size of a bathroom or so) up into chucks of earth and sprinkle a box of table salt such as mortons or such over the area and than just work it around a little so it mixes with the lumps of dirt. The deer will come in and lick on the lumps of earth the same as a salt block.
