What do whitetail deer like to eat most?

Whitetail Deer seem to adapt well to different areas, and their individual diets will be a direct result of the area they live in. Deer raised in highly agricultural areas love almost any type of grains, planted or wild,Corn,Soybeans,Turnips,Apples,Crab Apples, prickly Pears,Persimmons, even Grapes

Deer raised in heavily wooded areas, eat Acorns, green briar's and various wild growing

green vegetation, in addition to any planted foods that they have access to in fields, open browse areas and feed patches around their natural habitatWhat do whitetail deer like to eat most?
They eat large varieties of plants, including shoots, leaves, and grasses. They also eat acorns, fruit, and field corn or any kind of corn. They have a special stomach that allows them to eat some things that humans cannot, such as mushrooms that are poisonous to humans. What do whitetail deer like to eat most?
In South Texas where I'm from Whitetail deer love to forage on the Mesquite bean and prickly pear fruit. They also love corn which is dispensed by feeders to lure deer in. Further north, where oak trees are abundant, deer love to eat acorns.

Folk wisdom holds that South Texas deer have more massive racks where Mesquite and prickly pear are abundant. And according to this bit of folk wisdom, where deer feed on acorns they grow bigger in body size and have smaller racks.

Best.

As most answers to questions like this, it depends. Deer will eat somthing soft and sweet over hard and bitter just like you. They like most animals eat what they need most of the time. This time of year they will be for the most part eating high fat stuff to make it this winter. Acorns, corn, ect.

Here in TX we are allowed to put out feeders with timers to drop bait a few times a day. Most use corn for this and hunt on or near winter wheat fields.
