Do deer eat squirrels?

hi im making a food web for living environment class and i just wasnt sure if deer ate squirrels. i need to use the animals they told me too so i can't fit the squirrel anywhere. i had to use corn, crow, squirrel, caterpillar, deer, mouse, snake, cougar, and decomposer.Do deer eat squirrels?
Deer are herbivores, so they eat only plants, not squirrels.





Squirrels eat nuts and insects, primarily. You could link the squirrel to the caterpillar (as something it eats). Some squirrels have been known to eat other small animals, so you could link it to the mouse or possibly the crow. Insects are the more common food, however.

You can link them both in using the things that eat them, however. The snakes and cougars are both capable of eating deer and squirrels. Most snakes couldn't handle an entire deer, but a squirrel isn't out of the question. Cougars could easily eat either.





Also, crows will eat just about anything. They would have difficulty hunting down and killing a deer, squirrel, or any of the others that you have listed (some crows are known to kill animals as large as lambs). However, if they found one dying (or the remains of a carcass from a different animal killing them), they would pick at the bones and get a meal.Do deer eat squirrels?
Deer do eat meat. Not sure about squirrels but the red deer on the isle of Rum, Scotland, eat birds.

No, but I believe that squirrels eat baby birds.
Deer is an herbivore, meaning it would NEVER eat a squirrel.
Here are the possibilities:


Deer can eat the corn


Crow can eat the corn, snake (if it's dead), caterpillar,


squirrel can eat the corn


caterpillar can eat the corn


mouse eats the corn or caterpillar


snake eats the mouse, or for some the caterpillar


cougar can eat the squirrel, deer,snake


decomposers eat anything dead.

deer eat plants... the ones around here like grass and sage brush... they dont eat meat.. i think thats called a herbivore... but bears eat deer and i am pretty sure that a wolf will eat a squirrel...
They DON'T eat squirrels, they are herbivores. But they do eat insects. They do eat corn and possibly caterpillars. ~*~Good luck with your web!~*~
