Wisconsin Deer Accident?

If you hit a deer in Wisconsin, do the police need to be called? If the police were not called can I get in trouble from calling my insurance company? I do have fur and blood on the side of the car. I feel that is enough evidence for insurance. Any advice?Wisconsin Deer Accident?

I don't know about the police, but you might call the Game and Wildlife or Conservation Dept. to see if they want a report. For the insurance company, I doubt that a police report is needed, but you might ask the claims dept. to be sure.
