Hunters...deer season opens in Wi today. Where do you get deer urine?

I just came back from Wisconsin and they are all excited about the start of deer hunting season. I know hunters use deer urine to mask their ';human'; smell. Where do they get it? Do you buy a ';chemical'; deer pee, do you follow one around with a beaker or do you get it from the dead deer you shoot? This is a genuine curiosity that my colleagues and I kicked around all week. Since none of us are hunters, we couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer.Hunters...deer season opens in Wi today. Where do you get deer urine?
You buy it at a sporting goods store, most here in Montana carry it.


A friend of mine here in Mt is a deer and elk urine supplier (Cabnet Mountain Outfitters), they have domestic whitetail deer and elk.


What they do is put them in stalls with a cement floor and a drain that goes down to a container, they have several stalls, then they give them food and water, and a pill, I think its like a water pill that makes them urinate.


The most interesting part is the doe in heat or cow in heat, they follow the same procedure, but the pill is replaced with an estrogen pill which makes them go into heat.


So then it is bottled and shipped.

Yeah, these guys get stupid over hunting up here....usually Doe estrus can be purchased at any sportsman type shop.

It can be purchased at most sporting goods stores, and it usually comes in a small 3-6 oz bottle.
Its a good question where those companies get there urine and how do they do that is the question.
it is better to roll in a deers piss then put it on directly .so follow a deer around untill it pees then roll in it then go hunting .
any sporting good store should have it!! or youcan follow a deer and hope you get lucky and put a cup under when they go!!!
