What do i need to enroll my wife in deers?

I am newly married and on active duty. My wife is living in another state. How do I enroll her in deers? What documents do I need? What documents does she need to get an ID made back home? What do i need to enroll my wife in deers?
her social security card, the marriage certificate and a picture ID.

of course since you are not together she you actually cannot get the ID nor can she get an ID card.. so you need a DD Form 1172 filled out and sent to her so she can get her ID..What do i need to enroll my wife in deers?
You need the original or certified copy of the marriage certificate, her original or certified copy of her SSN card. They might require a birth certificate but not always. If you are in separate states and have separate bank accounts you can set up an allotment to her account each month on the 1st.

Once she is in deers she is enrolled into Tricare Standard. With this there is a yearly deductible and a co-pay per visit. She will then need either a Specific POA or Form DD1172 to get her ID from the closest base or reserve center. She can then change to Prime, enroll in United Concordia, use base facilities, etc...
Here's the website for deers:

Just go there. If you have any more questions just call DEERS:1(800)538-9552
you will need your marriage certificate,,,her social security card,,and her birth certificate. you will receive paperwork back that will allow her to get her ID.
Tricare DEERS on line enrollment.
